Artist Statement:
I am an Irish artist currently
working in Lund, Sweden. My
work since I've moved has been
increasingly dealing with
ideas around immigration,
race, language etc that I have
encountered. The influence of
the local art scene is also
pushing me to expand beyond
the painted picture. If I had
to describe my work with an
"ism" it would be ismism, that
is I can readily cite the
particular influence from my
knowledge of art history and
contemporary art which might
be working on a particular
element of a particular piece,
but feel that the completed
works are much more than a sum
