Artist Statement:
I am drawn to painting in oils
as a child is to candy. I
occasionally dabble with other
mediums but it is with oil
paint that I am most
comfortable. There are many
reasons why I paint but mainly
to express myself in the best
way I can and that is through
the images I create. Not
restricted to one subject, my
search has touched on many as
I have developed my skills.
Portraiture, landscapes both
real and imagined, abstracts,
flowers and where it all
started, with still life
compositions. My current and
slowly becoming a long time
subject has been the clouds,
the sky, memories and the
imagination, with a smidgen of
symbolism thrown in to add a
little poignancy to the piece.
Throughout the works is the
movement of rich color where
balance and harmony prevail. I
hope to captivate the viewer
long enough to engage them and
the depth of each painting
takes on its own life.

Welcome to Keith Burnett's Portfolio.
