Artist Statement:
I dream in colors…..it charges me up and urges me to create. I love to feel the colors on my fingers. It takes me to another world where I am not bound by rules and regulations. It is My World where I can do what I please.
Helen Keller said,
“Keep your face to the sunshine and you do not see the shadow. It’s what the sunflowers do”
And this is what I am trying to do-exploring happiness in all its forms; from all its sources.
Sunflowers to me symbolize happiness and brightness of heart. The ‘Sunflower series“ explores the sources of happiness . The blue color shows that the figures are above normal humans having realized their source of happiness. They no longer need to bother about color, caste, creed or clothes. The closed eyes depict that one has to just look within to find this absolute happiness. The serenity on the faces is the result of this finding. The sunflowers have their serpentine stems around the bodies of the figures, with their roots into the source of happiness.
I usually work in oils, but love to play around with different mediums. .

| Why Did You Become An Artist |
I dream in colors…..it charges me up and urges me to create. I love to feel the colors on my fingers. It takes me to another world where I am not bound by rules and regulations. It is My World where I can do what I please.
Nature and human emotions fascinate me. I try to look at brighter side of life, trying to find little joys which make it worth living. Helen Keller said,
“Keep your face to the sunshine and you do not see the shadow. It’s what the sunflowers do”
And this is what I am trying to do-exploring happiness in all its forms; from all its sources. I have embarked on a path which has not only given me positive energy and happiness, but others feel it too.
