Biggest Artistic Inspiration I'm inspired by the world around me and the way we relate to it through maps.

Why Did You Become An Artist It was unexpected.

Your Personal Biography I’m not 100% happy with the way things are globally generally so this is my way to escape into a place that’s just like ours – but a kinder version. My maps have lots of green space. Why can’t you have vast orchards in the middle of a city? That should be in every city. I’m creating the places where I want to be. The places I’m looking for. And those are the aspects that it has. But because it’s a composite of so many places and people I get the distinct feeling that I’m never going to find that place. All the things I cherish are in there – and this makes me feel good when I make them and look at them. I like to challenge myself too. I like to create places that make sense to me. The maps all connect because they exist in the larger context of Loyala, the fictious country I have created and added to the world. No city or town exists in a vacuum. All these places cross and interact with one another. These are places we go to find solitude. And places we go to find one another.
