Born in Tulsa Oklahoma 1949,
he started painting at an
early age, with no formal
training. Hightower works in
oil, acrylic, ink, watercolor,
and pencil. In addition to
his Western work, he has
created a series of oil
paintings, illustrations to
the Old and New Testaments. He
and his wife Teresa installed
these paintings on a rotating
basis in churches in their
home area, free of charge.
Hightower is a documented
artist in the library of The
Philbrook Museum of Art, Tulsa
Oklahoma.
