Why Did You Become An Artist not provided

Your Personal Biography MY BEGINNING
I began painting and drawing when I was in grade school. But it wasnt until I studied Graphic Designer at University in Mexico that I started learning different art techniques for example: Oil painting, drawing, lithography, goache, air brush (1988-1993), I really enjoyed Art History, although brief I started to know about different art movements that motivated me to continue painting. My professional career is mostly graphic design and its not until recent years that I started taking painting a little bit more seriously, last year 2008 I participated in a local Art Show in my hometown, hwere many artists, scultures etc gather to show their work, this was really my first big art show, currently Im in a growing phase, checking the art market, and experimentation, and just going with the flow of things, Im painting the common object, portraits, nudes and am interested in creating hyperreal projects.
The Art Im proposing consists of the interpretation of the modern world, specifically our digital world.
Each of my pictures represents common place objects like fruits, apples, bananas, flowers, landscapes, outer space, etc and also portraits of a favorite artist of mine, including one selfprotrait represented as a digital “reality”.
Everything we see on our computer screen, on a digital television, Iphones, digital cameras, etc. is an “interpretation” of the real world, it’s a combination of color (and/or black and white) pixels, which arranged in specific color (or black and white) combinations allows us to view a representation of how we perceive live objects.
In my interpretation the pixels I paint are exaggerated in size, so what the viewer will see up close will be a distorted pixilated image, forgetting altogether what the picture is upclose and emphazising only a diverse somewhat organized patterns of color and the pixel form (the square).
