Artist Statement:
I was born in Ottawa, Canada
in 1947.My work has evolved
from investigations into the
links between various
techniques of abstraction and
surrealism.My paintings and
works on paper begin as
spontaneous invocations of
real or imagined places.

I often synthesize landscape
elements into abstract
compositions.
Recently, my work has been
inspired by travels in France,
Spain and Italy.

I endeavour to blend
abstraction and figuration to
create simulacara which
reflect an inner world
expressing itself through
outward forms.
