Artist Statement:
Art for me is the best way for understanding the world and myself, a kind of inner conversation or meditation. The most exciting aspect of this process is when someone else tries to interpret my images, often seeing things in the work that I never thought of myself, thus carrying on this conversation and taking it to another level. My work tends to focus on the evolution of human being, on who we are and what we could be, the true alchemy of spirit, the magic of creation, the transformative force of love. Some people describe my art as “fantasy art”, “symbolism”, or sometimes even “surrealism”. I try to avoid any labels and just depict the reality of some inner space – a unique world that makes us who we are.
In most of my works I use traditional graphic art mediums, such as Indian ink, graphite, soft and oil pastels, and color pencils, sometimes mixing different materials and experimenting with new textures and techniques. Some of my recent works include acrylic on canvas and digital compositions.
