Artist Statement:
In my experiences, if aliens
are on your mind, then you'll
probably think it's aliens.
For example, when I saw my
mother come through the walls,
I thought I was dreaming, but
it was not a dream. The reason
I believe so is because this
image, besides elegantly
illustrating the enormity of
space, provides us a scale on
which we may place ourselves
in the position of the actors.
We may look forward from their
standpoint into their problems
and stories.
This is a growing collection
of stories that connect us ...
true stories of unexpected
intersections and amazing
moments of synchronicity ...
things that ...made me
smile...or cry. Art evolves
outside those influences, too,
and it's not always beautiful,
nor need it be ugly, the
character of the work should
reflect the moment it is
marking. So the statement of
work should evolve like a
child maturing. If I become
set in any one aspect of art
then I have truly failed as an
artist.
