PHILOSOPHY
I have always been interested
in how everything we do, and
the journeys we take in life,
gets a story. Sometimes a big
one sometimes a small one.
They are a kind of discovery
journeys. And they are
constantly ongoing. The
journeys come in different
shapes and forms, and it can
be anything from the first
steps of a child, a café
visit, a nature experience or
a journey to space. Everything
has a story. Everything have
made a journey. An earlier
exhibition was of that reason
named ”The Journey”.
My new work of paintings is
called "Snapshot Stories".
They are inspired by my trips
to Arizona, USA and the world
of islands in Greece and the
city of London. What I
discovered on my first trip to
Arizona was how there were
small and big stories
surrounding us, both in the
urban environments as well as
in nature. Sometimes evident
and up-front, sometimes
hidden. My eyes become a sort
of a camera that draw down on
paper the memories and
experiences from the
journey´s. And told the
history of a specific place,
like a snapshot, with details

BIOGRAPHY
STEFAN LINDBLAD
Artist& illustrator
In short
I have drawn and paint since I got my first crayons and sketchpad. When I was 13 years old I decided to be an artist, while learning how to juggle with oranges. I had my first exhibition at a gallery in Old Town in Stockholm, Sweden when I was 21. And my first paid illustration assignment a year or two before that. During this time I have made 5-6 stage sets, scenographys, and several art exhibitions and illustration assignments. And today its my work. Working as an artist and illustrator.
Extra
I like working with both large and small formats, which both drawing, illustration and my paintings allows me to. Therefore nice to have got through the years art assignments such as the Large paintings on commission for the Hilton Infra City Hotel, Stockholm, now called Scandic Infra City hotel. The Nightclub & Restaurant Gutekällaren in Visby, Gotland in Sweden. And of course the 192 square meter large painting to the Opera concert called Nessun Dorma for the "Opera in Bohus fortress" in Kungälv, Gothenburg, Sweden. A painting as the stage floor and as part of the scenography.
