Artist Statement:
Imagining a life without creating is akin to throwing myself into a grey void. I need to create, to experiment and to play in order to complete myself and I am both proud and profoundly grateful that my work can bring joy to others.
My artwork reflects my passion for colour and vibrancy in both art and Life. My encaustic pieces are visually stunning works of art with a definite 'Wow!' factor which grabs the eye of even the most casual of viewers. I produce mainly abstract and fantasy-themed works which reflect my love of the world around me. I also work in mixed media, combining a wide range of materials into finished works with an emphasis on beauty....

| Your Personal Biography |
I am 34 years old live in Bristol, England with my four children, 6 cats, 2 dogs and a well-trained husband. Making jewellery and selling jewellery beads and findings is my 'day job'.
I have no formal training in either art or jewellery - in fact I dropped art at school when I was 14 because I was told there was no point continuing if I couldn't draw. I have since discovered the absurdity of this recommendation - thankfully! I still can't draw but am blessed to be able to create with my hands without needing to.
I believe that being an artist in any form is more a journey than an occupation, whether that art be writing, jewellery, painting, cooking of any of the million other art forms. Creativity is a way of life that brings joy to my existance and I feel priviledged to be able to live this way and share it with you.
I've been making jewellery for fifteen years, starting originally with semi-precious gemstones and plated metal but enticed by the richer colours available using manufactured crystal & glass (which are also ethically sound and free from conflict, unlike many gemstones).
Encaustic art is a relatively recent passion that I adored from the first time I came across it and I am delighted that my work is being so warmly received in this medium.
