|
Opaque colour fields and lines reiterate the logic of pictorial space but without the chiaroscuro modeling. Simplification presents colour and gesture as ideographic, not as metaphor for abstract notions such as mystical ideologies or equivalents for emotions. Colours and lines, canvas are factual.
