Artist Statement:
I enjoy walking in all areas of Scotland, England and Wales. There are some beautiful landscapes and buildings, and I like discovering and sketching these. The time spent drawing ensures I become more aware of the surrounding atmosphere.
Back in the studio and the drawings are developed into watercolour paintings. The memories of the day return and mix with the reference material to help produce the works.
I use only the best artist quality materials, combined with the traditional British Watercolour technique to ensure transparency in the pictures.
A self taught artist I have been painting and drawing for over twenty years. My paintings have been shown at exhibitions at the Mall Galleries and at the Banqueting Hall in London, also in Edinburgh, York, Blackpool, Cardiff and France. I have been selected to show at the "7emes Rencontres Intemationalea d'Art Contemporain 2003" which will be held with the Chateau de Saint Brisson sur Loire.
My work is in private collections in a number of countries including Italy, South and North America, and Ireland....
