Artist Statement:
Nothing is more artistically
satisfying to me than painting
from nature. From the
mountains to the ocean, the
colors, textures, and geometry
offer me endless inspiration.
My work can best be described
as loose realism. I aspire to
create paintings that are
direct and expressive. My
primary interest is painting
the landscape. I am
investigating the edges where
the man-made and natural meet.
There are places where the two
blend, mimic one another,
dance, and do battle. These
interactions hold a great
fascination for me....
