Artist Statement -

My artwork uses expansive digital technology to represent dreams and other ways of knowing, as I try to understand my world around me. The images represented here in this exhibit are from a "Buddha Nature" series that I am working on. In the process of this series I am asking questions.

The global economy and multicultural societies are increasingly accepted norms. Will an integrated spirituality evolve as well? Is polytheism really possible? As artists evolve a global mind, and mature past the self-conscious movement, will art play a responsible role in societies direction?

While the technologies I use are complex and the questions I am asking are deep and serious, the goals are simplicity in design and composition with an attitude of fun and adventure. For if I take myself seriously the results would be disastrous.

Please visit my website (www.stevenpoe.com) to see more photographic works and read more about my evolving theory of art from a systems perspective.

Intriguing, mysterious, and refreshingly unique. These are just a few words we can use to describe the images contained within Steven Poe's professional portfolio. Steven has a very unique style in his photography, which is emulated by very few photographers. This unique style has gone a long way in propelling Steven's work to the very top of the progressive stock imaging market.

In our review of Steven's work, we learned that one of the factors in his motivation to produce incredible images is fueled by his understanding of the world as a whole. This theory simply states that we are all a part of our experiences. While we are experiencing life outside of our physical bodies, the outside experience itself
becomes a part of us and we become a part of the "whole." This theory may sound a little confusing at first, but when we ponder its meaning, it becomes apparent that it is more fact, than theory. We are all a part of our environment. Our presence in the environment, along with the presence of other people, objects, etc. make the environment what it is. Thank you for your vision Steven!

Steven's theory on the collective whole is one of the most enlightening statements we have heard in a long time. When you are able to reach this high level of consciousness, there is nothing that can stand in your way. Steven's unique vision in photography is evidence of this.

We invite you to peruse Steven's impressive vision on the world, through his Profotos portfolio. Examine each image carefully and see which of your dreams it reminds you of. Everyone who looks at Steven's images can relate to them in their own way. This is greatness, in its truest form.
