Artist Statement for Winsome Mitchell

|
I have been studying a Visual arts course at Chisholm Institute, Dandenong Campus for the past three years. During the course, I have majored in photography. Since I was very young I have had a passion for making photographs. I prefer to photograph scenery close up and on different angles. I also like to capture the moment when I photograph people when they are most relaxed.
Painting is something I have also enjoyed since I was young and will definitely continue in the future. My favourite subjects are people and sports, always having a fascination with the female body and the ocean.Surfing and snowboarding are my main inspiration for my artwork. In the future I will combine photography and painting and expand my ideas even further.
