| Biggest Artistic Inspiration |
I am most inspired by the simplistic beauty of Our Creator's world. God seems to "put it together" just right. I want to try to not only put down what I see, but what I feel when I see one of God's masterpieces. |

| Why Did You Become An Artist |
I don't remember anytime when I wasn't an artist. Some of my earliest memories are of using my oil paints painting along side of my arist mother. I started painting professionaly when I was still in high school and continued to help support myself while getting my degree in Animal Science. I feel truly blessed being able to have a 'job' I love...that of an artist.

| Your Personal Biography |
My family moved from New York state and settled in Kingsport Tennessee when I was 16. I graduated from the University of Tennessee with a BS degree in Animal Science which has always come in handy when painting animals.
I married my high school sweetheart and moved to Nashville where I worked at Vanderbilt University in a Cancer Research Lab. It was evident to most folks, as well as to myself, that a career as a full time professional artist was my true delight as I was always taking "sick days" to stay home to paint.
We moved back to Kingsport and opened a Coffee shop/ Art gallery known as Hibbert-Davis Coffee Gallery. At this establishment, we sold the usual coffee drinks and sandwich type food but also represented over 20 local artists. It was a fun run, but when we found a buyer for our coffee shop, we jumped on that and that is when I was free to do my mural work and pet portrait business. I am known through out East Tennessee and Southwest Virginia for my stunning murals and expressive pet portraits.
Currently, I have my own art gallery in downtown Kingsport, Suzanne Barrett Justis Fine Art Studio and Gallery. I specialize in wildlife, pet portraits, children's portraits and nursery art. We have two children and two dogs and live in Kingsport, TN.
