Artist Statement:
Swati Bhatt has trained as a
student of art in the
University of Bhopal, India.
She followed it up with a year
long training at the South
Delhi Polytechnic for Women.
She has learnt figure drawing
at Sussex University, and
composition at Brighton, U.K.
She holds a Master's degree in
Drawing and Painting as well
as in English.
Paintbrush makes intimate love
to colour on the canvasses of
Swati. Rich brown earth
stretches into stormy blue
sky. A warm red sunset is
caught in the fields... just
before it slips away. Golden
autumn leaves light up a
lonely forest.
Swati has held many
exhibitions in her long
artistic career. Some of the
main exhibitions were held at:
