Artist Statement:
Bill Talbot is essentially a
figurative artist, a painter,
printmaker, sometime
sculptor.. his main intention
is to capture light, movement,
tension..that moment in
time..it's in the muscles and
tendons and also where light
is, was, and where it's going
to be.
He knows the anatomy,
inventing the figure or image
in his his head and on the
canvas..visualising the
movements and changes as he
works.
An artist of the old school,
he works on maybe a dozen
paintings and projects at the
same time.
His work can be seen mainly at
his Sussex, England studio,
and at his New York gallery,
where a full body of work is
available....
