In 1982 I became ill with bronchial asthma. While painting with oil paints I suffered from allergy, so I gave it up. For 25 years I had experienced the so-called professional famine. All the time I was seeking some kind of synthesis with which I would be able to paint without suffering from allergy. And I did! I was 52 then. Now I paint with colored knitting threads. I have discovered my own style and technique without any analogue in the world. I painted approximately 120 works in a year. Mainly my works of art display landscapes, portraits, still lifes. My works are assessed by the painters to be of high value and equal to international level.
NOVELTY
Painting with colored knitting threads in modern art. According to the judgment of professional painters one can achieve the same or even more with colored threads than with oil paints.
MATERIAL
wool, cotton threads, veneers, a sort of board, glue made with my own technology. |
