Artist Statement:
In life my paintings have a
shape, form and depth to them
which is disappointingly
unrealised on the screen. The
paintings you will find here
and on my website often
resemble their origins,
however they are primarily,
and I believe more
importantly, creating a new
world of colour, character,
wit and inclination. They are
a demonstration of what could
be if you were to take visual
stimuli to the next
impressionistic step.

If I have interupted your
world, even for a moment, then
I am satisfied. Shapes,
colours, textures all spark
off the imagination;
stimulating the brain and
senses, prompting emotions.
Art is more than visual
representation, it's about
appetite, stimulation,
fascination, and infatuation.

This is the 'virtual' space,
to watch...

Biggest Artistic Inspiration “What am I in the eyes of most people – nonentity, an eccentric,
or an unpleasant person – somebody who has no position in
society and will never have; in short, the lowest of the low…
… All right then – even if that were absolutely true, then I should
one day like to show by my work such an eccentric, such a nobody
has in his heart.”

Van Gogh in a Letter to Theo, 21/07/1882

Why Did You Become An Artist

Your Personal Biography Currently I am a part-time artist living in London and working for the Media Industry. A long way from my more spacious roots in the Midlands, where I studied Art and Design throughout school and college with an absurd amount of paint, glue, string and various other inspired materials.

My website Tessa-Gallery is the virtual realisation of my art in the form of an online exhibition. The aim of this site is to both display and sell, my paintings and prints, and from that also initiating a route to display my photographs.

As you can see, my paintings are of the 19th-Century-Impressiom-Landscape variety with a stirring of abstract beginning to show through.
