Theodore's Art practice
reflects traditions of
figurative, expressionist, new
image art. Colour and the
luminosity of this element are
the trademark of his work. His
body of work is about space
and how figures, their
gestures and faces feature in
these spaces. His canvases are
large and invite the audience
on an explorative, symbolic
journey of light and colour.
Images are informed by
personal and autobiographical
references. Theodore's style
uses line, expressive colour
and brushstroke to convey
emotion, rhythms and energy
creating relationships between
these elements within each art
work.
