Artist Statement:
I like to think of my
paintings as subconscious
mirrors and that the
relationship between the
viewer and my work is a
personal one. I create
narratives that are open ended
and I allow my subconscious to
wander freely as I paint.
Consequently, the story lines
evolve as I work on each
piece. A painting may hold
multiple meanings for the
viewer and these meanings can
change over time, as they do
for me. I incorporate
variations of traditional
painting techniques that
invite viewers to enter these
alternate worlds and discover
what these mirrors hold for
them.
