Welcome to Toon Diepstraten's Portfolio.
In my art i try to exploid my freedom as much as possible
All subjects or intentions are allowed, but chosen for their
capacity to inspire me even more.
Nowadays reality has become a virtual thing since most
of my work is viewed on a screen like the one you are looking at now.
It feels as if a painting or drawing only becomes real after being digitized and uploaded to all webgalleries.Only then the piece is seen.I do exhibit in the real world, but even the best visited exhibitions get only a fraction of the amount of views the works get through webpages.Most people that visit a real exhibit already know the work from virtual expos.Most real exhibitons only exist because the work was seen over the internet by the organizing gallery.
Therefor i need to spend a lot of time on the internet and this increases my eager to create real objects and drawings since that makes everything real again to me.
