Artist Statement:
My paintings are a narrative of longing and desire through decay; each layer peeling, sliding or breaking away through time and by weather revealing what came before and a secret about the place or object exposed. This process is both allegory and inspiration for my work. If I were an object what would that be? What secrets would be revealed after time had it’s way with me; and finally what would be discovered about my maker?...

| Your Personal Biography |
I was raised in a family of theater and film designers on the Upper West side of Manhattan. My father has always said that I was born with a paint brush in my hand. As a child if I was awake and not eating, I was painting.
After many summer art classes at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Parsons School of Design and programs at the New York Art Students League, I went to La Guardia High School of Music and Art where I majored in fine art. From there I went to Bennington College in Vermont where I studied painting and then spent a year in Paris studying and creating paintings.
I followed my parents into the film business after graduation and was working as a camera person when I met and married my husband. Through out my film career I always managed to keep actively painting. Now I am a parent and able to paint at home with my son. Being an artist has given me the flexibility to work from home and be a stay at home parent.
A painter is who I am; it is also what I do.
