| Your Personal Biography |
Victor Zakrynychny (Zakrynyčny) was born in 1967 in Kamenets-Podolsky, a picturesque city with a long history and a beautiful, well preserved castle.
His great-grandfather served in the personal guard of the Czar Nikolaj II.
His grandfather was teacher and his father worked in the Institute of Agriculture.
There were no artists in the Zakrynychny family.
In his early childhood Victor became a “collector” of old things which led him to appreciate beauty.
He studied at a children's art school, continued his education at Ohienko University Fine Arts Department and after graduation worked as a designer.
During a visit to Greece, in 1996, he became acquainted with the traditions of ancient sculpture. In Athens he studied at the famous sculptor Ramazi.
Many of the artist's paintings can be found in private collections and galleries in Italy, Germany, Greece, U.S.A., France, Japan, Czech Republic, etc.
