| Biggest Artistic Inspiration |
I take inspiration for my art from many things, but mainly from my own experiences and surroundings. Something someone says or does can inspire me to paint as much as something that I see. I also take a great deal of inspiration from nature - and I like to capture an organic feeling to my paintings. |

| Your Personal Biography |
Born in Essex, UK, in the 60s. I was fortunate to grow up with (and into) Punk Rock scene of the late 70s and 80s. A more fantastic and creative time could not be found than the scene that developed around The Castle pub in Brentwood. Everyone was either in a band, painting, writing, or performing some way.
I'd always enjoyed drawing and painting, right from an early age (what kid doesn't like drawing?!! – probably those who spend all day long on a Playstation). But life being life, as I grew up I found less and less time to paint. I never lost the creative urge - or the need to make a statement – but instead moved into playing in bands and writing songs.
I spent years in bands and working in the music industry – but still foud some the time for painting and drawing for pleasure and also for band promotional material (covers, T-shirts, posters etc.). But unless you’re the Rolling Stones, you can’t go on forever (somebody tell them, please) and as I grow older, the time and creative energy I once used for song writing I now channel into painting.
I have always had a great interest in nature and in particular the Native American beliefs - living in harmony with the world and creatures around us. As a result, much of my art draws inspiration from the energy of nature - being in a forest or by the sea makes me want to capture that energy in paint.
But the 'punk rocker' is still there – and the need to make a statement. I see natural habitats being destroyed at an alarming rate, and through my art I also want people to see what war-zones we're making of this planet.
I hope you like it.
