Artist Statement:
I've been doing computer
generated imagery for only
about 2 years, but have been
into art for some time longer.
I graduated college
late(1992), with a bachelor's
degree in fine art, having a
major in painting/sculpture
and a minor in philosophy.
I've always tended to work
with basic shapes and
simulated textures, attempting
to promote some type of
consideration on the part of
the viewer. At some point
during the creation of a
piece, philosophical concepts
come into play. While at
times, composition is based on
a specific philosophical idea,
and conversely, the symbolic
imagery may suggest to me the
concept. Either way, concept
is of much importance. Color,
line, shape, light, contrast,
depth, and rhythm, are too all
noticed....

Welcome to Edward Winters's Portfolio.
