Artist Statement:
Growing up in East St. Louis
was very challenging; however,
it is that experience that
shapes my zeal to communicate,
express, and formulate my art.
I visualize self integrity and
commitment to accepting and
teaching both spectrum's of
life....."Having & Not Having"
I was educated in one the
poorest counties in the
country but had an opportunity
to attend 2 top 100 college
buys in the nation. I fell in
love with art at an early age.
In grade school I often
written love letters with a
certain signature. (secret)
I believe that my work is
unique because I work on a
theme that, "I have no picture
in mind, all I have is my
mind!" I allow others to feel
comfortable in seeing what
they believe the "piece" to
be. I am elated to be able to
share with the world my deep
heritage and the gift that
belongs to nature. Thank

I was born in East St. Louis and encountered harsh times. I saw the world as a place that was unfair and puzzling; however, my spirit ensured me a purpose. I attended college and got into politics at the age of 25. I have evolved into the 'mind struggle'. This is where my work comes out. Short and simple, I am a East St. Louis Native. I bring the rich out of the poor. |
