Artist Statement:
Coastal & Southeastern
Landscapes
Like many I am inspired by the
great natural beauty of the
coastal landscapes the
southeast. Draped in exquisite
light, like the Spanish moss
hanging in weeping garlands,
the marsh islands, beaches,
and maritime forest offer a
serenity that I find
refreshing.
In creating these images I am
trying to share both my love
of this environment, and its
natural resources, with the
intent to rekindle within the
viewer the importance of
protecting this disappearing
landscape.
