Artist Statement:
Tian is a guy who appeared
from nowhere
Emerged from the underground,
rather than Art schools.
Self-taught, self-proclaimed
autist/artist.
Open-minded adult and solitary
child.
One of those big kids who
can't keep his hands off
anything, runing the risk of
overturning, breaking up what
surrounds him.
One of these fellows who
doesn't fear to be proclaimed
Public Needlessness.
Who plays with matches in a
gas station.
He likes to provoke, but to
provoke a reaction, an
emotion, a dialogue.
His pictures are designed like
short stories, like one-page
tales, all together incisive,
disconcerting, unexpected,
attractive.
My painting tries to look
like me but it can't keep up"
he declares.
Tian is working -kidding- in
Le Mans where he lives with
his children, his cat Fulbert
and his many imaginary or
encountered muses, on the
fringe of an ultraconformist
provincial life....

1964 Birth in Le Mans (France)
1984-1991 Drummer in the punk-reggae Nuclear Device, then rhythmics in the electro band Mega Reefer Scratch
1994-2002 Graphic designer in Paris, then Le Mans.
2002-2004 First works using acrylic
2005 First exhibitions - Tian appears on Artfloor
2006 Tian appropriates screen printing technique and adapts it to his narrative painting.
'Muzzle Me', 'Glamoureuses' and 'Humaine Nature' series.
2007 First galleries exhibitions. 'New York' Serie. Tian is a guy who appeared from nowhere
