| Your Personal Biography |
Born and raised in Taipei, Taiwan. YI-HSIN TZENG received her BFA from National Taiwan Normal University In 2007, she moved to USA to attend Savannah College of Art and Design where she was awarded an Artistic Honors Full Tuition Fellowship for its MFA painting program. Her work has been exhibited in Taiwan and internationally in places, such as USA, Colombia, Australia and France. TZENG is also the recipient of several artist residencies, including Vermont Studio Center, the Elizabeth Foundation workspace in NYC and Ox-Bow. In 2008, YI-HSIN interned for Joe Amrhein, the director of Pierogi Gallery in Brooklyn. YI-HSIN continues to investigate the shape and the color of human desire using various mediums, including painting, video, installation and sculpture. Recently, her painting is even included by latest New American Paintings magazine. |
