Artwork Description:
This sculpture depicts and emulates the awesome beauty and perseverance of todays woman, coming out and pushing through adversity. The idea manifested for years as my mother raised me and my 7 Brothers and Sisters from very young ages... This is somewhat of a tribute to the actual concept unto my divine, incredible Mother. Likewise there are so many complex curves, that have to harmonize in order to achieve the aesthetic symphony of the female bodys form, thus I entitled this sculpture, The Divine Symphony.
I realized its identity by the elbow undulation in the rough stone. The style is similar to that of Michelangelos Captives series and Rodins figures emerging out of the rough stone. It appeals more to the imagination than the conventional sculpture, which shows the whole body... The material used for the figure was light green California alabaster and Texas Red granite for the base. This is an original dePasquale Sculpture original. Thank You for viewing my work. Please feel free to ask any questions. May God richly bless You and Your Family
