Raphael Perez - Heather Hyatt - In my work as a fine artist, I use the mediums of graphite, coloured pencil and oil, in the styles realism, photo-realism, trompe l'oeil and portraiture, Ideas come from literature, metaphors, and the real world. Rather than the imitation of appearance, my concern is with the essence of the subject. In trompe l'oeil, it is the hardness and softness of guns and lingerie, which, when mounted in shadow boxes, become real. In the series,'Dante's Divine Comedy', executed in graphite, the object was to depict the universality of his ideas as they appear today. In all of my work, realism is my focus and goal. ...

C. A. Hoffman - For me, my artwork is very personal. It reflects a lot about how I am feeling at any given time and place. I feel that art has to be on this personal level to completely capture how the artist is feeling daily, or trying to convey a certain thought or emotion at that particular moment. We all, at one time or another try to express our thoughts or ideas, whether it is to others or just to ourselves, by words, actions, ideas or pictures. If we are sucessful in this attempt, I think it shows through in our everyday work or art. I believe that one is either born to create art naturally or by learning. For me, I feel that I was born with this wonderful gift, and I try to improve upon it every day. In my photos and art, I hope to show how everyday objects and nature can capture our imaginations and feelings. Sometimes I work with an image to improve it, inhance it, or just to fuel the imagination. I truly hope this shows in all of my art. ...

Elizabeth Frank - My artworks begin with fallen aspen branches. I make at least one trip annually to the mountains of the southwestern United States to gather the aspen that I'll use over the course of the year. My visits to the forest are like a pilgrimage. Every time I return I'm inspired by the strength and the delicacy of the natural world. After the aspen is collected it's dried in a room on my studio roof. Once dry, I cut and shape the rough branches with a band saw. Next I make a puzzle of all the odd parts. I spread them out on the floor, stack them up on a table and move them around until everything fits. The pieces are carved in small components that are joined together with pegs and nails. The surface is painted with acrylic, metal leaf and wax. I combine my carvings with found objects. The carving style is simple, inspired by iconic images found in folk, tribal and primitive art. The themes I use are personal yet universal. My love of the natural world and my concern for the environment translate into works about the intricate relationship between man and nature. I ...

Rene Trujillo - Un Creyo (Spiritus MercuriU.S.) I'm giving back to the Universe what the Uni-VERSE gave to me. Participacion Mystique I'm letting go of what is. Being. Of what is to become. L' Avenir. Letting go of what I AM up to now which in turning echoes what is. (H)echo. Letting go, for there is no need to take. Everything has been given to you. Every-thing and no-thing is in front of you. Gnosis. Therefore, let go of what you possess. Deseo. For when one lets go, one receives. What does one gain by worrying of the day. Oh anxious eye! One must learn to breathe again. The first breath was born from a serene one. (Circular Time) The second from an earnest one. (Linear Time) Unos Mundos. Death to all anxious objects! I'm in the world now. I'm out of the wor(l)d now. "The Uroboros" Between and including Consciousness and Unconsciousness there is becoming. There is connectedness. Mysterium Coniunctionis. There is balance. It is a prime mover. It is creation. We are the re-sounding fact of creativeness. (H)echo returns! It is sufficient unto itself. That is all! -Rene'...

Corinne Medina-Saludo - Corinne Medina-Saludo: Creating a Figurative Kinestesic Art The basis of the art of this french contemporary painteri?1/2s research is the " body-mind", or better said, "body lenguage": the painter using her inside physical and emotionnal feelings, as a medium, and also, intention of her art. In her painting act, a mental representation of the body is, at least, coming into the canvas, as a plastic element of of "painted sintaxis" She is a member of Taylor's Fundation of Paris, since 2006, and represented by Drouot-Cotation since 2000. She recently exhibited some featured works, as "Resurrection" in the Miami Museum of the Americas", ( 2010 july, International ART Exhibition). ...

Kimmie Hamm - Everywhere you dream to go can become a part of you and everywhere you have been is a part of you. I am an explorer and optimist at heart, so when I set out to create something one word always comes to mind: Possibilities I feel that through art I can explore the visions in my mind, everything from a small flower or blade of grass to distant worlds filled with whimsy and thoughts of what ifaEUR|aEUR|. Culturally I have two aspects that influence me one being my Native American ancestry and the other my German immigrant ancestry. I am deeply rooted in the beauty and wonderment of nature. My wise grandmother told me if you have strong roots your sprit can fly anywhere and still return home. That saying has always stuck with me and in many ways sparked my imagination. The explorer in me must come from my immigrant ancestry. My great grandfatheraEURtms family traveled to America on a steam ship in 1874. I can imagine them traveling for what must have seemed like an eternity. I often contemplate what they must have been thinking, and try to express the excitement of the unknown and the anticipation ...

Derek Dey - Many times I am asked where ideas come from. There's never been any difficulty with that, because they arose one by one in almost linear fashion. The full idea for a painting would emerge in my mind as a complete mental picture somewhere towards the end of the painting I was working on before. From this, I would jot down a clear thumbnail image and pretty much work from that alone. Looking back on it, it seems to me the subconscious was prompting this process in an effort to build wholeness out of chaos within me. Almost like the process of art itself. I am in Europe painting writing and working up some 3D stuff. Caio! ...

Matei Enric - My art is a combination between easel and wall painting. More pieces which are assembled together, creating a full image, a piece of work. Space, as usual, circumscribes the work, the wall ( the vital space around the picture ) is inserted in the piece of work, becoming in this way an element ( having plastic valences) of the composition. The piece of work, in whose substance is also integrated the wall where it is placed, remindes of the wall painting , having a better comunication with the environment unbeing isolated from it by a frame or a closed shape ( square, rectangle etc). The base of my painting consists of the plastic rhythm ( the whole composition relying on the arrangement of similar elements) and the use of different ways of the elements materialization ( brush-up ) ....
