Nancy Bechtol - Artists explore and give the world a view of their personal heightened awareness. I visualize and think with keen beliefs and insights. Michael Garr - I have been drawing and painting since Junior High. I enjoy quick art, impressionistic yet realistic, and minimal. There are interesting subjects all around us. My inspirations are architecture, people, light and shadow, the sea and boats, imagination... and the old masters. Get out and enjoy your surroundings. All my works are available as signed and numbered prints. I also do commission works, some examples of which are in the portfolio. I donate all proceeds to charity, and have recently teamed with SAVE THE BAY, a local Rhode Island eco-advocate organization, which receives 30 PER CENT of my proceeds. My opportunities for artistic expression have included drawing on napkins during airplane rides and waiting during my sons music lessons. In 2012 I took up oil painting for the first time, and my mentor is Lorena Pugh of North Kingstown. Ive done both Plein air and studio work in her presence, and am benefitting from the association. We have an informal group who meet and paint in Lorenas studio on Monday nights throughout the indoor season. I will continue to pursue art on a daily basis, and post the finished works here and on facebook for any and all to ...

Luise Andersen - Luise'Mignon' Andersen Luise'Mignon' Andersen has only recently begun to reveal her lifes work. Soon after her debut she exploded onto the mainstream art world. Her breathtaking pieces have captured international interest. The stories Luise'Mignon' is telling through her truly deep, layered works seem to decipher the past and foretell the future, perhaps sharing her window to other dimensions and a seventh sense. Her detailed acrylic'Mignon' series speaks to the beholder. They inspire raw emotion and ignite ones imagination. The indescribable nature of the "Duree De Ma Vie" in particular has a growing portion of the art community considering it the conception of an entirely new style. Austen Pinkerton - Austen Pinkerton If I turn my mind to it very quickly I can come up with several ideas for works aEUR|paintings, drawings, or sculptures. Sometimes ideas come to me when I least expect it, or when my mind is on other things. Ideas can be related to my current experiences, or to my feelings about things that are happening to me in my life at that particular time. Alternatively they can be related to a current interest, or something that occupies my attention at that moment, and my ideas and feelings about which Id like to share with others. A lot of my work is autobiographicalaEUR|either directly or indirectly, consciously or subconsciously. It is frequently very personal, and expresses events or circumstances or experiences in my life. I usually work in either Acrylic on Canvas, Crayon or Pastel, or both together, with Gouache, on card, Drawing in pencil, or Ink, or both, or with creating SculptureaEUR|for which I use fired artists clay. Sculpture follows a completely different set of rules and values from two-dimensional art, obviously, I think of it as Drawing in three dimensions and I take this into account when creating mine. In all my...

Austen Pinkerton - Shoshannah Brombacher - Art makes the world within the artist visible. Classical music, poetry, Jewish and Chassidic stories, traveling, the love for people and memories of eras gone but not forgotten, cities where I lived and worked, like Amsterdam, Berlin, Jerusalem, New York, or visitedm, lie Prague and Sicily, are the main ingredients of my art. My art is like the water of the canals of my native Amsterdam, Rembrandts city, the deeper you look into it, the more you see. A reflection of a reflection of a reflection...look, what you see is not what you see. My art contains texts and letters, lets writing come alive, and reflects my deep connection with the Dutch 17th century Masters, German expressionism, Russian art and medieval miniatures. My art is also a tribute to music and the world of the great Chassidic masters of Eastern Europe. The Kotzker Rebbe listened to a Chassidic storyteller in the street and stated He told what he wanted and I heard what I needed. That is Art. ...

Josephine Roberte - My creative process is full of passion and discovery. I become totally absorbed and only myself and the subject exist for I am in a meditative state. I paint, however, I do prefer photography as a medium as it suits my spontaneous nature. The lens captures the moment with exquisite precision that cannot be easily recaptured again. I am more interested in the concept and the impact of the image which gives the image more integrity and close to the original. To manipulate and enhance the image after its been taken does not excite me as much as capturing that magical moment. When I set up and arrange the scene I am consumed with styling, decorating and embellishing the subject. I see the human form as sculpture which extends to packaging, interiors and architecture. I am fascinated by the eccentric the marginal the most glamorous and the neglected bringing out their inner beauty, dignity and their story. The collaborative process creates a comfortable environment which in turn makes my models feel at ease and supportive of their particular wishes and needs. My models often make comments that they feel relaxed, liberated and empowered....

Grigorii Ponomarev - I have been carrying semiprecious stones since I was 14. I was learning sculpture, painting and composition during my educational period which lasted almost 10 years. I feel a can create very beautiful and impressive sculptures in different materials. My favorite materials are semiprecious hard stones and I think I am one of the best artists in this area. My sculptures are in many collections around the world. Some of my sculptures are in famous Russian museums ....

Nicole Pereira - NICOLE PEREIRA Nicole Pereira is a young rising artist who started producing artwork at the young age of 4. Nicole noticed that she had a gift for art when her artwork was selected in her local public school and community art competitions. The local press also started raving about Nicoles work. With encouragement from her family and friends, Nicole now devotes all of her free time to paint abstract portraits that express her feelings and emotions. Originally, she started drawing realistic portraits of individuals and celebrities, but felt that she wanted to add more. By careful reinterpretation of the portrait, the use of broad brushstrokes and vivid colors, Nicole conveys her thoughts, feelings and emotion to the canvas to create unusual artwork. Nicole is just beginning to get recognition in the art world as a gifted and unique artist and her potential is unlimited....

Javier Caņete - My name is Javier Canete. I'm from Argentina. My art is developed through the batik, acrylic painting and photography. In that I develop my restlessness and convictions, always treating that the beauty prevails. At the moment I expose my works in Buenos Aires but my art is in many places of the world. That is something that honors me and full with happiness....

Paul Carbo - I started messing round with wood in 1999 while still working as a graphic artist for the Los Angeles Times. We all worked on computers at that time and I was craving to do art with my hands like we used to back in the "dim time" before computers. I initially started to build small functional art pieces for children. Things like paper and pencil holders. I then progressed to larger caricatures of famous people I thought kids should be aware of like Abe Lincoln and Mark Twain, still intended as furniture for children. I would store the finished cabinets in my living room. They mingled well with my other furniture and and found I using them to store CD's,books ans such. At that point I said to myself " Why wouldn't grown-ups like this kinda thing"? I left my job at the newspaper, forged on and continued to build....

Minh Hang - Through life struggle I was able to understand the profound meaning of my surrounding. Each experienced take me to a different level of awareness and a vision with wiser perspective. Art was a mean for me to coped with all the hardship and struggle in my life, each time i pickup a paint brush i went in to a trend that take me deep down to the cord of my spirituality until i feel my hand was guided by a super being, at this stage i found my sense of security. The process of creating is like a journey to discover a new self and a new world. I like to provoked the deep sense of my emotion where i can create mood that give me the excitement and energy in the process. to me, I found that black and white visually give me a pure sense of reality and raw emotion like a documentary told the story the way it is. with just a simple medium such as black charcoal, ink and acrylic to convey an idea on to a canvas through light and shadow, form and composition to form a visually excitement finish piece of art work. ...
