Randy Sprout - I grew up in a small town in Northern Iowa, played football, coached the swimming team, and graduated from the University of Iowa with a BA in printmaking studying under Mauricio Lasansky. I then went into the Army and ended up pulling 13 months in Korea on the DMZ. Coming out of Korea I entered UCLA and earned a MA and MFA in printmaking while studying under Jan Stussy and Stanton Mac-Donald Wright. The next year after the funds dried up on my Fulbright Award to Portugal, because of the Angola War, I was lucky to get hired by USC where I taught printmaking as a junior faculty member. I also replaced professors at UCLA when they went on sabaticals, and taught one year at Pierce College. In 1977 I tried Real Estate, you know just for the summer, but by fall I had purchased Century 21 Hollywood Inc. and had a new vocation going. Now 31 years into real estate, I'm coming full circle and starting to paint little quick studies 9X12. I'm using just 1/2 inch brushes and 5 colors. I intentionally limit my time to 2 hours after which I stop and throw ...

James Hill - My work explores the use of color and rhythm to create moving images that seek to provoke a particular mood or emotion by invoking a memory or moment that is meaningful to the viewer. My latest works include a study of the massive power inside thunderstorms and lightning strikes including a 6x10 oil of a storm entitled Tempest. These new paintings reflect the change in the weather patterns throughout our world thanks to global warming, which no well-educated person can deny these days. My paintings are intended to glorify the Masters Works and The awe of Creation, the Universe, the Stars and Planets, and our own incredible Earthly Skies and Lands. My other works include Fantasy, Gothic, Steampunk and Science Fiction of Utopian design cities of the future that require no use of fossil fuels at all as I look to give humanity hope for a better future of free power and sustainable living on this planet as we look to preserve it and encourage the rebuilding of nature across the world as we are but shepherds of Gods creation. ...

James Hill - Chris Jehn - I am primarily a self taught artist and have always felt creative. I worked my way through college by teaching crafts at an arts and crafts store, everything from embroidery and macrame to tole painting and pottery. I have taken numerous workshops from other practicing artists. Being with a group of other artists creates a synergy that inspires me. I now primarily work with acrylics and collage. I especially love intense color, and have made a study of color composition. One of the main reasons I live in Colorado is because almost everywhere you look there is something wonderful, and IaEURtmm compelled to try to paint what I see and feel. ...

Brikena Berdo - I cannot say what really led me to painting. I guess it is related to that inner desire which has made me express myself in this visual language. But what has mostly marked my art and driven me towards endless research is composed of notions such as the sense of time, childhood, human psychology and nature. I think, for some artists, it is true that what they have sought for in their art is something they have missed during their own life, a lack of anything from the real world of ours. I grew up in a aEURoegrey countryaEUR. I lived under a dictatorial regime until the 90aEURtms, which was followed by a transit period of destruction. Hence, so little has been inherited by the previous system. As a result what I perceived of those times came in colourlessly, greyish and meaninglessly in all aspects. It did not make sense at all. The absence of colours led to a hungriness and craving for greens and blues and yellows etc. This thirst for colours found expression later greatly and strongly in my paintings. I love colours and they are important, sometimes more than shape. I like to impose myself through ...

Michael Arnold - Art for me is a creative release, therefore I have no boundaries in my work. I work on what moves me spiritually, visually and creatively. I enjoy many different styles including impressionism, pop art, abstract expressionism, naturalism, post-impressionism, art deco and contemporary. All of these styles influence my work, but do not define my style. I primarily work in acrylics, but have produced works in pastels, graphite, charcoal colored pencils and ink. Aditya Dev - I started with Black Ink on paper & Watercolour Medium. I like to paint Figurative, Abstract Forms and Landscape in my styles. My areas of thoughts are very vast which I try to portrait in my paintings and poems. Now I am using acrylic and oil paints on canvas, where I can express my feelings and desire in the forms of colour, which gives me freedom to show my emotions. My sketches are about the feelings and relations, which having no particular shape. Its forms exude lightness that balances its movement on canvas. There is a deliberate move away from the use of substantial colours, pen and ink, layers and textures to further underscore the notion of the space. There is great tranquility about these images which are clearly records of emotions....

Caren Keyser - My expressionist paintings are done using an intuitive process. I begin with the paint and then allow the paint and my subconscious to lead me to the subject matter. Exciting interactions between colors evolve from brushwork, pouring, glazing, spraying and other techniques. I strive to show the essence of the subject rather than paint an overly realistic image. I never know what I will find next in my work. I hope it will be dramatic and emotional. Note that the paintings are not framed. ------------------------------------- I began painting professionally in 1977 after studying art at Florida Atlantic University. There I explored the many styles and techniques available to the acrylic painter. My first photo-realism style piece was created while attending FAU. I knew from that moment that realistic nature scenes would be my style of choice. This remained my theme and style until after 2005. As time has passed my work has changed and become more creative in its processes. Color is still the dominant feature in my work. As my focus has shifted toward expressionism I stored my realism pieces. The originals of many of them are still available for purchase and are included in my inventory here at ...
