Artwork Description:   "Sea birds on a gray day" Oil on canvas FRAMED Original Impressionist Seascape by Hilary J. England. About this painting: This painting was done en plein air from a very recent excursion to Avon-by-the-Sea, in New Jersey, USA. It was an overcast day, and the fog had just lifted. The beach was completely empty except for a pair of surfers, and a scattering of fishermen. The birds felt very comfortable, and were playing in the surf in front of me... running back and forth between the easy surge of the surf. I found it very peaceful and enchanting... I utilized a limited palette of only burnt sienna, french ultramarine blue, and white, thinned by a mixture of 1/2 and 1/2 linseed and turpentine. This is NOT a reproduction, but is the original work of art, 14" x 18", and is professional framed in a gold leaf traditional wooden frame
