A piece made on a whim after an encounter with singer Andrea Bocelli. When struck with tiny hammers, this stone really does sing sweetly, like bells or crystal. Some kinds of marble do this, and most sculptors will know what I'm talking about when I say I chose a piece because it had a loud ring to it. You will often see them tapping stones with a chisel and listening to see if the marble is fresh, or if it has a fault.
