My last painting was a subject that almost broke me. Emotionally, i was torn between attending my Art course and completing it, or walking out. It was with a will and determination which left me exhausted for years after its exhibition. I have been asked many times why i haven't painted since the painting "Storm", the characterization of that one painting is of, discomfort, cold and loneliness looking towards something better, hopeful and brighter. It was a reflection of my life from that point onwards, for everything which occurred in my life 1 year leading up to that painting, and the years after it. Wounds take time to heal, and my life experiences between that time and now have given me a better understanding of things as a whole. I paint what i see, and my last painting "Storm" was a painting of me.
I am fanatical in my approach to things, and although some may say that it has been a long time, it was time that i need to grow. And in the next few years i aim.... not,.. to be afraid of success.
