Reflections
"In search of the muse"
These paintings have emerged from a deep sense of sorrow and loss that I have experienced recently. They helped me in my search for meaning. May they shed a small ray of light on you as well.

Artist Statement
I am a self trained Artist. After 11 years as a Director of Information Technology at a Financial Services company, I felt major burnout and despair. It was then that I felt a calling to paint and create. I purchased a book on Acrylic painting, but it remained on the shelf for about a year before I opened it.
As a child, I enjoyed coloring books, sketching, and making pictures. I took one art class in school. I abandoned the notion of becoming an artist. I had no talent; my people looked like monkeys and everything else could not be identified. 28 years later, I find an unusual inspiration that drives me to paint.
