Storm Selby's Artist Portfolio
Welcome to Storm Selby's Portfolio. I am self taught and have always needed to create. I am driven by this inner need. June of 2000, at the age of 48, I made a decision to put my art first, rather than just fit it in when possible. It made all the difference. I painted my first painting (in secret) that summer ~ Red High Heel and Serpent. Then I started experimenting with assemblages, including "Life on the Rocks" series. The garden art rocks with symbols ~ ancient Goddess symbols, planets, mystic spirals. These have been adopted by some of my friends and now reside in beautiful gardens. Hobo symbols are amongst my favorites....a secret language for wanderers.
My art works are the honoring of my soul and my life journey. It is healing for ancient wounds, and the calming of my fears, laughing about the rocky times. It is a powerful way for me to celebrate being a woman, having family, friends and love in my life. I remember the past, and loved ones, some here, many gone.
My works are very personal ~ and they have been promised to my children and grandchildren.
