  • Artists Describing Their Art:

Venczak Marianna - I'm a graphic artist, illustrator and painter since 1993. Since then, I have been a Board of Presidency of the "National association of Lovers of Art". My paintings are often a mix of reality and fantasy - emotional reflections of the world surronding us: sparkles of moments I captured and embraced....

He has lived in the Columbus, Ohio area since 1970 and currently resides in southern Delaware County A watercolor artist for over 20 years he is both an active artist and teacher. His work has won many awards in Ohio area exhibitions and can be found in private and corporate collections throughout the Midwest, West and southern United States. His work is represented by The Armory, Port Clinton, Ohio, JR Designs, Powell, Ohio, the Pump House Center for the Arts in Chillicothe, Ohio, the Kelly Graphics gallery in Milan, Ohio and various exhibitions around the state. He is past President of the Worthington Area Art League, a signature member of the Ohio Watercolor Society, Central Ohio Watercolor Society, and the Worthington, Ohio and Westerville, Ohio Art Leagues. His work is characterized by strong design and a solid approach to the technical fundamentals of the medium. While avoiding "photorealism", his painting style captures the essence and emotion of the subject while involving the viewers' imagination in its' interpretation. The choice of subject matter is diverse ranging from seascapes and landscapes to still lifes and portraits. An avid sailor, ...

Vagik Iskandaryan - Every artist dips his brush in his soul, and paints his own nature into his pictures. " Henry Ward Beecher" An artist's painting becomes reare evidence of his inner unseen world. As time progresses that unseen world changes and so does his art. For me, the process of creating vital art is mainly a search and contact with the mystical or it could be the real experience of the mystical world. It is the way of discovering true beauty. The creative process itselfe brings me a sense of fulfillment and that is what I find to be so exciting and enjoyable. An artist should always strive for perfection because the perfection is the atribute of beauty that is the path he has chosen. Nothing should stop him until he can taste the nectar of perfect masterpiece. Then, he can fall in love not only with his art, but also the unseen world from where the real art manifest itself. My paintings are composed of figurative and abstract melodic forms. I called them the inner landscapes The second is pure abstract But the main source of my inspiration, knowledge and experience in art, I have obtained through my wonderful relationship with ...

Theodore Kennett Raj - About Theodore As a visual artist I follow my own muse. My visual narrative paintings and pen drawings reflect fanciful subjects and situations depicted with explosions of colour and textures. Born in Maduria India, I have a very exuberant colour sense which reflects the origins of my country of birth. In 1974 I studied design and art at Shillito design school in Sydney, NSW. I have spent most of my working life in the fashion industry . Previously I have exhibited my work at eca bar in Darlinghurst, Sydney, NSW which atrracted enthusiastic commentry from the fusion of creative locals of the area. In 2007 I was invited to join a group exhibition at Tap gallery in Sydney which was received with great enthusiasm. I relocated to to the northen rivers region of NSW. This move has given me a new freedom to to visualise and create new colours and shapes which excites me and gives me new sense of experimentation bringing new movement and life into my work. since march 2012 i have been exhibiting at the Channon gallery ,in the beautiful hamlet of channon N.S.W.Australia.the new body of works i have created useig acrylic and ...

Roderick Brown - Roderick (Rod) Brown was born in Western Australia. Rod spent his first 30 years in an arid and remote gold mining town. As a youngster he remembers the great freedom he enjoyed surrounded by the stark but vivid images of the mines and surrounding bush, which he regularly explored. Rod as a child watched his father paint in oils and sketch, in charcoal and ink, portraits of local identities. The early seeds to later pursue art were sown at this time. Rod has enjoyed living with his family in Australia, Europe and the USA. During this time he has visited over 40 countries around the world enriching his life and building on the foundations acquired in his hometown, which was a very multicultural society. Rod decided to explore his artistic leanings taking up oil painting while living in Sydney. At that time Rod was a member of the Castle Hill Art Society and The Hornsby Art Society. Rod took up watercolour painting in the early 1980's, which has been his preferred medium since. Rod has exhibited at many public shows particularly while living in Sydney and has over the years painted commissioned portraits. Rod has paintings in corporate and ...

Barry Boobis - Musical Visions is a body of work devoted to all themes of Music. These themes traverse the worlds of jazz, dance, rock, nature, spirit, and beyond. These musical themes are explored in the universes of realism and abstract, often combining both at a level of Spirit. Having practiced Zen meditation I see all mediums of art as One, which is derived from the ancient Buddhist scriptures. My Greatgrandfather wrote the "Hatikvah," national anthem of Israel, and my father was a jazz piano player, as well as a commercial artist, so the genetic splicing is readily obvious. The heritage of music, as well as art and spirit informs the work, and I offer it as a form of celebration of heightened sensibility. Joyousness, rapture, and expression, not just existence! As artist- in- residence at the Bluenote jazz club in NYC, and a participant in the Newport Jazz Festival and the Saratoga Jazz Festival for many years, I have had the great opportunity to bring this work to lovers of music as well as art throughout the Eastern Seabord of the USA. I now welcome the opportunity to bring it to the world- at- large through absolutearts.com. Please celebrate with me! ...

Clinton Lown - " Should you ask me, whence these stories? Whence these legends and traditions, With the odors of the forest, With the dew and damp of meadows, With the curling smoke of wigwams, With the rushing of great rivers, With their frequent repetitions, And their wild reverberations, As of thunder in the mountains? I should answer, I should tell you," Damn the Damp and where the hells Dave Cramp? Last time I saw him was when we was pulled over on Bathhurt by the Bronze dogs....

Sandra Costa Bras - After trying several painting and photography techniques, I chose watercolour as the main media of expression of feelings, sensations and thoughts. The paintings always start with small dots of water and colour and through the interaction of both the paintings are born. All the things lost and lock in my memory, feelings and thoughts, images, landscapes, places, people and situations, appear between, the fields of colour, the lines, the forms and become alive. I found, working with watercolours, my inner self. Watercolours were chosen as my main technique cause, with then and with small pieces of paper, I express myself totally. I no longer fell the pressure and the need, I felt before, of working on large canvas and I feel free to do whatever it comes to my mind. So the result of these last years of work is those paintings full of light, colour, life and movement. I found myself as a painter....

Pim Van Der Wel - Pim van der Wel (1950) combines the art of making watercolours with his work as a business economist. After lessons in all the basic drawing techniques by two Dutch painters in the periods 1980/1987 and 1994/1996 he specialised himself in watercolours. Watercolour offers hardly any limitations, so he can show what he likes and that is light and shadow in dents, creases and gloss etc. His objects are sports (mainly football), cans, torsos, animals (cows, sheep, dogs and chicken). In the last 10 years his work has been shown at (group-)exhibitions in the Netherlands. Some galleries have his works permanently in stock. ...

Armineh Bakhtanians - I hold degrees in commercial art, design, and interior design from UCLA, Rio Hondo College and Mount. San Antonio college. Although my profession has been in the field of inerior design for many years, creating works of art in watercolor has been my passion. The world is full of colors, shapes, designs, and beauty, if we choose to see it. It keeps on moving to the rhythms of many sorts. As one observer of nature, and creator of art and beauty I am commited to telling stories in forms of shapes and images that have come to me through my herritage of centuries to the PRESENT MOMENT. My father was a great inspiration for me as a child, and led me to the wonderous world of art, and as an artist I am committed to the growth and change in my work just as it is innate in nature. Zaher Bizri - Zaher El-Bizri is a young Lebanese artist. He specializes in painting and mixed-media pictorial and plastic arts. He developed a refined expertise in watercolors, in oil paintings, charcoal drawing, and graphic design, with a highly skilled use of Information Technology tools besides classical artistic media. El-Bizri focuses principally on representational and pictorial depictions of everyday scenes and quotidian intimate public spaces, of diverse characters and portraits, while being particularly inspired by the Levantine Mediterranean cultural milieu, and primarily by the architecture of the medieval quarters of the ancient Lebanese port city of Sidon (Saida). His artistic endeavors explore the profound promising potentials that remain presently contained within classical styles in painting, as well as experimenting with abstract configurations in pictorial art. His artistic activities are also situated within urban places, and they act as inspirational catalysts for stimulating dynamic cultural practices in the public domain in the form of installations, sculptures, and series of murals. El-Bizri received his Diploma in Fine Arts (Beaux Arts) in 2000, from the Lebanese University in Beirut. His prolific artistic productions and creative works have been exhibited on a regular basis since 1998 in numerous prestigious art galleries and venues. He ...
