Artists Describing Their Art:
Norbert Szuk - My artwork can be divided into periods by idea, emotion and impression. I am proud that the pulsating colours of my pictures have been accepted by Playboy Magazine in Hungary, as well as by the world-famous electronic record company, Some Bizarre Studios in London, for whom I occasionally design CD covers. I have achieved success in the field of illustration and my own artistic universe in which I blend different trends. Apart from my own style, I also paint Japanese manga pictures where I mix European art forms with Far-Eastern images like wayang, so that my artistic style might be called international. My manga and wayang figures express emotions and passion, animated by various ideas. My heart and emotions are European, my ideas are nurtured by Spanish surrealism, my images promote the harmony of the Far-Eastern world. I always maintain a broad perspective. As well as painting, I have worked in international festival management in Hungary and abroad. I deal with graffiti, airbrush, ice, sand, giant painting and various other kinds of installations, art camps, designs, illustrations and exhibition organizing. I have created 120 minor and major art programmes and movements. From art festival management, I am ...

Yuming Zhu - I land my brush with the force of a giant rock splashing into the ocean. I am not looking for a beautiful painting, but to express Life itself. Painting is just like a stacking of passions. Painting is a method of striping myself naked and facing the truth of my inner emotion. I invite the viewer to experience through my paintings the joy of being alive right at this moment. I believe I can do lots of things, but painting and poetry are the best beloved channels to express my complicated emotions. Originally from Shanghai, Yuming began studying under the masters at a young age. After his BA from China, Yuming came to the States and graduated from Sonoma State University with his MA in 1991. Working in oils, pastels and ChineseSumi Watercolors, Yumings work is a unique blend of East meets West artistry. It is a style that Yuming refers to as Transism, in reference to the constantly evolving interests, which include observations on modern life, a love of music, and an exploration of his own unique heritage. I paint to achieve balance and harmony. Once I reach that, I will for sure break itaEUR aEURoeMy art is just...
Sanjoy Rakshit - Nature is the almost topmost creators. And change is the nature of low. There changing are going on time to time, with the through every moment of step. Which moment is present, that will be past, after will be began new present time, with the new provisional. That feels need to sixth sense. In live to think, all kind of creativity are impressed with this. In huge moment, feels are lots of together, here ability of catching minimum, and this is depend on which is only in our in previous knowledge. My just as series is, spontaneous reflect of inner feelings & sense, which depend on timing .There can be something reality of present -past. Here appearance may would be supernatural atmosphere. There Lines & color able to reflect their own images , & language. So "Just As" trying to judge and define, the rhythmic flow & harmony of present sense, extraordinarily. THANKS. Rakshit ...
Claire Petit - In my work, beings of dream and intimacy migrate slowly to the merry-go-round of birth, death, and rebrith. Different periods and series rub shoulders in my decades of paintings. Duality breathes deeply, and from one life to the next, powerful feminine energy dominates moving, introspective, multiple, often wrapped in a gentle violence. Since 1989, I have been traveling and working between France and the United States. I had my first solo show in 1999 at the 24 Gallery in New York City. In 2004 my work was represented and exhibited at the Grant Gallery. In 2005 I left for Mexico, where I maintained a studio for three months in Oaxaca. From 2005 to 2010, my work was represented and exhibited by the Opera Gallery in New York City. During those years I regularly painted in New York. Since 2010 my work has been exhibited in Paris, Brussels, Luxembourg Metz. My studio is in Nancy, where I live. To purchase a copy of my 140 pages latest book please go to the News page of my website

Ana Castro Feijoo - My work is essentially a visual development of the relationnships between shapes, colors, line and emotion, with in speecific field, sometimes the symbols reveal themselves spontaneously, my chalenge in their balancein space. It is halfway between abstraction and figuration. I donA't analyze, I donA't coneptualize, rather I build and destroy until I unravel a portrait of the moment. It is my language to express mmy interior, difficult with words. In the paintings I paint layer upon layer, letting it happen and flo, in the engraving especially llately in the monocopie, once the inks have been disseminated I am intereested in exploring the accident that occurs when literally exploding them under the pressure of the press, moment by moment, until the appropriate ones are captured on papeer or canvas. I am a multifaceted artist. I am attracted to the challenges of differrent disciplines. It is an evolution in time, while the work is being created, to the point that I see an abstract representation of something that I had not seen before and I allow the work to have its own presence....
Joanna Glazer - The inner images and bold colours Joanna Ewa Glazer incorporates in her work convey a sense of abundance, total immersion into life and optimism. In her paintings, she creates a space of beauty and paradise in the way that shows resilience and strength regardless of circumstances. Each painting is like a poem , a life affirming experience." All her work is also about sense of identity, search for it and hints as to where to find it She finds her sources in fashion magazines, newspapers, books, art reviews, and advertising. Artur Pashkov - Artur Pashkov is an artist originally from Russia. He arrived to New York in 2001 to explore the land of the opportunity in his career and passion. Here, Artur Pashkov wants to pursue a goal of a successful artist that can reach an audience by expressing his feelings and emotions through his Art. Artur graduated with BFA from Pace University in 2007. Fine Art is Artur's gateway to share with other people his way of seeing everything around him. In this way some people can perceive through his representations and visions the world in different perspective and color. It's not easy for Artur to describe his creativity, because it's a process that he's not fully aware of. His visions are like dreams, and are not easily understood or explained. Every time he takes a brush in hand, his visions are coming from nowhere, and he does not know where they will take him. Some of Artur's paintings appear to come from another world, crazy and even scary. Artur Pashkov is a painter practically from birth, when other kids wanted a bike or a plane Artur wanted to paint. Over the last few years Artur Pashkov ...
Noel Villafuerte - My hope is that you share my passion and witness a step in my journey. I am optimistic in your willingness to allow your minds to be stretched beyond the limits of what your eyes could see. I believe everything is still possible in your life you discover within yourself the courage to journey to unknown places where you will overcome fear and be open to new luminous moments of joy, hope and faith....
Martha Hayden - My painting is both realistic and abstract, it is on that elusive edge between there and not there. On first look everything is in place, then all dissolves. I want realism and abstraction to take turns. I want a painting sometimes very evocative of time and place, sometimes overwhelming in abstract, structural logic. I look for a surprise, a drama, a different way of seeing. I try not to see anything for itself alone, but as a part of the whole. In this context, my subjects take on meanings other than the accustomed ones. They are more than still life and landscape; they are comments on thinking and seeing. ...
Jerry Ross - Manifesto of American Verismo By Jerry Ross, 2012 "American verismo", a movement that I have recently founded, is a catch-all phrase for an artistic style that draws its main inspiration from Italian art, both classical and modern. There is an implied nostalgia for work done "dal vero" (after life) whether classical (Raphael, Rubens, or Caravaggio, etc.) or 19th century (the Tuscan I Macchiaioli school) or more contemporary. Verismo is somewhat akin to contemporary "atelier realism" but the latter has been criticized for an academic uniformity and its over attention to details. American verismo is more poetic and linked to post-impressionism, the Milan-based Scapigliatura ('wild hair') movement, and the I Machiaioli's commitment to social issues. But like atelier realism, American verismo is associated with a painterly sketching style, use of broad brushstrokes, and the alla prima, "direct attack" technique of painting. It is also linked to all'aperto (open air) impressionist-style landscape painting. In short, to pleinairism which has become widely popular in recent years. I first introduced the term during several classes he taught at the Maude Kerns Art Center in Eugene and then later at the "Angels Fight Road Art Center" plein air retreat...
Caren Keyser - My expressionist paintings are done using an intuitive process. I begin with the paint and then allow the paint and my subconscious to lead me to the subject matter. Exciting interactions between colors evolve from brushwork, pouring, glazing, spraying and other techniques. I strive to show the essence of the subject rather than paint an overly realistic image. I never know what I will find next in my work. I hope it will be dramatic and emotional. Note that the paintings are not framed. ------------------------------------- I began painting professionally in 1977 after studying art at Florida Atlantic University. There I explored the many styles and techniques available to the acrylic painter. My first photo-realism style piece was created while attending FAU. I knew from that moment that realistic nature scenes would be my style of choice. This remained my theme and style until after 2005. As time has passed my work has changed and become more creative in its processes. Color is still the dominant feature in my work. As my focus has shifted toward expressionism I stored my realism pieces. The originals of many of them are still available for purchase and are included in my inventory here at ...
