Artwork Description:
This abstract, geometric acrylic painting on canvas is related to Anne Rices novel, Blood and Gold, a story about Marius the Vampire. The work also relates to Shakespeares play Henry IV, Part 1, ACT III, SCENE I. My abstracted narrative examines the existence of real magic and liturgical magic. The house represents the universe with all Her powers, magical as they are the red streamers that fall from the house symbolize humanitys embellishment of real magic with tales of self glorification, which is false magic. The work consumed three years of my life and is loaded with surface textures. The colors dance off the surface and enter ones mind in the same way that the music of crickets lull one into dreams of starlight. Please note that this painting is shipped to the collector without a frame. The sides of the heavy duty wood stretchers act as part of the painting, so a frame in not really necessary. The work is shipped to the buyer in a sturdy cardboard box. It is first wrapped in two layers of bubble wrap and secured in the box behinf heavy duty protective packing of cardboard. This packet is placed into the professional shipping carton, which is also packed with bubble wrap. The Absolute Arts Dot Com price includes all handling costs, shipment supplies, and the coast of the shipment box. Mailing and transportationscosts are not included in the listed price.
