Artists Describing Their Art:
July Preobrazhencki - My style fully reflects me as a person - it is a tense disharmony, in many ways it is about blurring and fuzziness, about chaos. I use materials that capture a unique moment this is instaX after all, what can be more fragile than a photo the size of a credit card, this is printing on transparent paper and then transferring it to something, this is processing the image with salt and acids, this is transferring the image to scotch tape, giving a psychedelic structure with the help of ebru paints, this is tracing paper - like displaying the strings of the soul and breaking glass. I also do aEURoeghost imagesaEUR with the help of a clerical corrector and cyanotype, followed by computer processing....
Kalvintaka Tan - Art, is what I see, what I see and how I see art is like looking into a mirror everyday. Flashes of residues of every humans daily lives in seconds leaving me so little room to express. Granting me the ability to compress all feelings onto a piece of canvas, which leads to full satisfaction....

Donald Schwass - Being human, means that we will always have questions about the reality that we are placed in. During our time on earth, we will ask why we are here, and we will never get a straight answer. Art, is a language that has a way of bridging the connection between the real and the ethereal. My work is a strong conduit for that connection, using the tools that we already have equipped. Though one cannot see a human soul, our individual consciences are proof alone that they exist. Though we may not be able to see the beating heart, we feel its pressure when we search for it. The rhythm of the heart reflects the rhythm of the earth and beyond. And though we my not hvae a map to navigate the narrow passages of cognizance, our brains spark the light of thought and inspiration the whole time we are alive. This is the holy trinity of tools we are equipped with to explore the incessant questions that grow with us. Who am I Where do I come from Why am I here Where am I going My work is a beam of light targeted on the darkest areas of ...
Tina Mastin - Tina grew up with a pad of paper and pencil in her hand. Drawing was her favourite childhood past time. She was given her first camera at age 9 and the world opened up for her with a camera in her hands. She loves taking photographs from a perspective not often seen or noticed; breathing life into everyday things and drawing the viewer into the scene. Painting with acrylics in an abstract, expressionistic style is her personal way of expressing emotions oftentimes too complicated or painful to articulate. She is currently experimenting with the subtle intricacies of watercolour and loving the learning process of this different type of art as well. "Everyone feels something different when they see my work. The emotions they feel are as unique as each person is. We all have our secrets inside. I add paint to mine and put them on canvas." "Painting gives me a way to expel all the colours, thoughts and emotions constantly colliding in my mind. I primarily consider colour when I start a new painting. What colours am I feeling at that moment? I hope my work will ultimately be placed where people stop and stare for a while, seeing...
