Artists Describing Their Art:
Gilberto Jose Alexander Moreno - Inspiration I enjoy creating with colors, shapes (figures) and the creation of pure forms and abstracts. Painting is for me more than a natural ability, that is "Joy" of creation and expression to the world myself. Diverse mix of colors and their intensity inside my work plays very end. The result is not only (just) anything but the last experience a wonderful journey undertaken (covered) between me and the colors in their purest forms. Working with polycarbonate plastic (the CD'S). The idea here is basically the interaction with light, plastic mailing carbonate (CD'S), acrylic colors combined, creating a halo of color spectrum, a cosmic explosion of colors prism, reflecting and looking like a "Rainbow", and a spherical arrangement. With or without direct light, the interaction of carbonate plastic post on the canvas and arranged in coordination with the myriad of colors impulsive, creates a feeling of a special show, sleight of hand a dilemma between the pigments mystic splash of colors applied to raw and the ultimate essence of colors itself, " Light". Art Art is and could be applied as the ultimate mean and intention in obtaining and fully manifesting your god given aptitude and therefore, living your ...
Kaloust Guedel - Statement My work investigates the relationship between transition and space. Transitions may be identified in four general groups: Additive - addition, introduction, reference, similarity, identification and clarification Adversative - emphasis, concession, dismissal, replacement and conflict Causal - cause/reason, effect/result, purpose and consequence Sequential - numerical, summation, conclusion, continuation, digression and resumption Transitions harbor dynamic properties. In my work the meaning is re-identified, re-defined and re-introduced in visual terms as a reflection of its contribution in countless aspects of life. I am not trying to dismiss the passed, but to emphasize the present by keeping in touch with the pulse of life. To me there is no such thing as abstraction. Each form, line, color, shape, or concept is deeply rooted into reality as I perceive to be. Without concrete reference to any of above mentioned values, It's hard to have a satisfactory outcome, or even imagine one. The process of creation is spontaneous and rarely thinking comes into play. I consider physical involvement in this process very important. Without it, you may end up having a compromised outcome not because other can not do better, but because it can not be consistent with my sensibility and as importantly, ...

Debbi Chan - I am going to do an updated artist's statement. But until I submit it you have a short temporary one. As an artist I an fullfilled and contend. But at the same time I seek more , absorb more, and enjoy more. Art fills and fullfills me..I am always being an artist. My eyes see art always. This is not a hobby that I partake of when time suits. Art feeds me. Art consoles me. And being prolific it also takes my time. And for this I am thankful that i listened to my inner self. I am thankful for a following that grows by the minute. I enjoy you enjoying my portfolio. I also have come to realize that the coined phrase "starving artist" is a reality for some of us. But if you take another quote, my own , you will see that starving and rich pertain to material $. because of you the viewers , and because art is my life and my passion I can truly say that I AM RICH.. RICH WITH NO MONEY... and I can also say with truth that I am happy. I chose the path that allowed this rich life. There will continue ...
Rick Chinelli -
C. A. Hoffman - For me, my artwork is very personal. It reflects a lot about how I am feeling at any given time and place. I feel that art has to be on this personal level to completely capture how the artist is feeling daily, or trying to convey a certain thought or emotion at that particular moment. We all, at one time or another try to express our thoughts or ideas, whether it is to others or just to ourselves, by words, actions, ideas or pictures. If we are sucessful in this attempt, I think it shows through in our everyday work or art. I believe that one is either born to create art naturally or by learning. For me, I feel that I was born with this wonderful gift, and I try to improve upon it every day. In my photos and art, I hope to show how everyday objects and nature can capture our imaginations and feelings. Sometimes I work with an image to improve it, inhance it, or just to fuel the imagination. I truly hope this shows in all of my art. ...
